The journey to get the sudsmobile

In 2008 I decided to buy a 1956 Chevrolet. This is the same model car I bought in my final year of high school where it was named “The Sudsmobile” by my friends. In late August my fifteen year old son and I headed from Ottawa Ontario to North Battleford Saskatchewan to pick up the car sight unseen. It was by no means mint but you have to start somewhere. We drove almost 3600 kilometres each way to go get this vehicle. it was quite an adventure leaving Ottawa on Thursday after work and arrived in North Battleford Saturday night at midnight. We then loaded up the car Sunday morning and started our journey back arriving back in Ottawa Tuesday evening. This was the start of a long slow but enjoyable journey.
